Remote Support Guide
For Windows Users
This service will allow a remote support technician to "sit" at your desk to perform technical services or demostrate training features. The desktop is shared, and everything the technician is doing is visable on the user's screen. VNC stands for Virtual Network Computing, a complete explaination of this technology can be found at http://www.realvnc.com/ and the software is open-source and supports most major operating system platforms. 1. Download the Real VNC Software http://www.realvnc.com/dist/vnc-3.3.6-x86_win32.exe 2. Install Real VNC 3. Start the VNC Server (for security purposes you should not Install the VNC server service, only run the server when you need to) 4. Set Password for Server (you may need to give this to a support technician) Click Apply and then OK. 5. Add a new Client A Support Technician will instruct you with Host Name. Once the session has ended, please close the Real VNC by right clicking on the icon
